Автор смог представить необычный и нестандартный взгляд на классическую живопись 14-19 веков. Для многих орнамент одежды, декор помещений на картинах - это что-то вторичное, во многом созданное для украшательства, но для Франчески орнамент главный герой любой картины.
Несмотря на идеальную задумку книга оставляет ощущение чего-то недоработанного, как будто бы название не соответствует содержанию.
